The Calais Regional Hospital Diabetic Education and Support Group meet monthly from March through November. The group provides persons diagnosed with diabetes the opportunity to increase their understanding of diabetes so they may better deal with all the issues related to the disease. Meetings are held at Eastport Healthcare Inc. on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 – 7:00 pm (unless otherwise noted), and at the Dietitian’s office at the Calais Regional Health Services Building (old CRH) on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Meetings are free. No referrals or registration needed. The groups are facilitated by Mona Van Wart, Registered/Licensed Dietitian. For more information, call Mona at (207) 454-3906. Meeting Dates in 2010 October 18, 2010 – Eastport Healthcare, Inc. at 6:00-7:00 pm (Note: 3rd Monday this month due to Columbus Day) October 20, 2010 – Dietitian’s Office, Calais Regional Hospital Health Services Building (old CRH), at 6:00-7:00 pm. November 8, 2010 – Eastport Healthcare, Inc. at 6:00-7:00 pm November 17, 2010– Dietitian’s Office, Calais Regional Hospital Health Services Building (old CRH), at 6:00 – 7:00 pm. No support group meetings in December, January, or February. |
